1940 y\u0131l\u0131nda Kemalpa\u015fa\u2019da do\u011fan \u00c7etin G\u00fcrel, \u0130zmir \u0130ktisadi ve Ticari \u0130limler Akademisi\u2019ni bitirdi. Mesle\u011fine 1960 y\u0131l\u0131nda Ege Ekspres\u2019te spor muhabiri olarak ba\u015flayan G\u00fcrel, Cumhuriyet ve Demokrat \u0130zmir\u2019de spor sorumlusu ve sayfa sekreteri olarak g\u00f6rev yapt\u0131. 1976-1985 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda Yeni As\u0131r\u2019da haber m\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc ve genel koordinat\u00f6r olarak g\u00f6rev yapan G\u00fcrel, \u0130stanbul\u2019da Sabah gazetesinin kurulu\u015funda yer alarak gazetenin genel m\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fck g\u00f6revinde bulundu. Daha sonra Gazete Ege\u2019yi de yay\u0131nlayan G\u00fcrel, ard\u0131ndan ekonomi gazetesi G\u00f6zlem\u2019i kurdu. Evli ve iki \u00e7ocuk babas\u0131 olan gazeteci, T\u00fcrkiye Spor Yazarlar\u0131 Derne\u011fi kurucular\u0131 aras\u0131nda yer al\u0131yordu.<\/p>\n
